A private recreational community located in Northwest Illinois on 1550 acres of wooded hillsides and rolling meadows. The lake's proximity to the surrounding communities of Rockford, Freeport, Beloit, Monroe, and Brodhead has allowed hundreds of members to leave the congestion of the city for the year-round enjoyment of Lake Summerset's many offerings.

• Newspapers Now Available: The Freeport Shopping News (Wednesdays) and the Rockford Register Star are now available at the LSA Office parking lot in their respective newsstands. If these papers are not utilized, delivery will be discontinued and stands removed.

• Card Club every Friday at the lodge, 1-4pm. If you like to play "500" come on down.
• Hand & Foot Cards first Monday of every month at the lodge, 1-4pm.
• Lake Summerset Familyfest is on July 17. The Lake Summerset LAKE will be CLOSED to all boat traffic from South Gate Marina east to the DAM. Pier Drive behind the Dam will be closed at 9pm until fireworks display is over.
